Instituting a girly routine, for my standards

Posted by: gwen on: January 8, 2008

I have to recant a previous post where I expressed fear about the Listerine Whitening Pre-Rinse. Quite fortunately, I did not experience the skin-sloughing that my sister warned me about. So now I’ve fallen head-long into the following night-time pre-bed routine.

(Given my practical nature and present financial circumstances, all the products I use can be found at a discount drug store.)

The Face
1. Wash face with Noxzema. Since finding the pump version, I haven’t looked back. (300 mL for $8.49)
2. Apply toner. I’ve stayed with Clean & Clear and just picked up Cooling Daily Pore Toner. (235 mL for $7.49) All three offerings (Daily Pore, Black Clearing, and Oil Controling) sound very attractive to me!
3. Apply moisturizer. I use Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer (118 mL for $7.49) It has no SPF nor do I need it at night. I just love the refreshingly cool feeling upon application.

The Mouth
1. Floss with Gum Butterweave floss (200 yards for $3.99).
2. Pre-rinse for 60 seconds with 15 mL of Listerine Whitening Pre-Rinse. (946 mL for $9.99)
3. Brush teeth. Currently using Colgate liquid toothpaste, I like to experiment with no strong allegiances. (100 mL for $2.69)
4. Post-rinse for 30 seconds with 20 mL of Listerine. (1L for $5.99)
4. Apply lip balm. I keep a little jar of balm on my headboard – a tube would roll behind the headboard between it and the wall.

I take it as a part of growing up and planning just a little more before going to sleep. I’m worth it.
